2016 finally!

We have become a part of the Manaiakalani Outreach Blogging group which means we are paired up with other classes in our cluster to share our blogs. This week we have been learning how to write interesting comments on blog posts. After reading lots of blog comments we came up with a list of success criteria that we think would make a good comment. We have practiced commenting on our own blog!

Our success criteria for making good blog comments.

Be polite - introduce yourself.

Say something positive.

Talk about something specific - like “your shading is effective”.

Make sure it makes sense.

Use correct spelling, punctuation and grammar.

To encourage a response you could......

Ask questions. - who, what, when, where, why, how?

Mention common interests or experiences.

Share/ suggest a link or site.

Give advice. "Have you tried?".

  2. Hi Zoe,
It’s Mia. I really like your work. It tells me a lot about you. I also like mice they are like cute little fluff balls with feet. Did you know that mice generally like to eat grains and not cheese. Sometimes they eat peanut butter!

  3. Hi Mia, I really like what you said about about yourself because you described yourself well “I have blue eyes and short golden curly hair.” How old is your guinea pig Chocolate? What are some interesting facts about tigers?

  4. Hi Mia,
Great presentation you have created. It is well set out and you describe lots of stuff about yourself. It gives away lots of your interests. Maybe you could shorten it down and not have so many words, but it’s awesome I was wondering how do you get your name in a keep calm poster?

  22. Kia ora Room 7. I think is great that you are working with other students in our Manaiakalani Outreach group. Your blog commenting success criteria is very good. Your presentation about yourselves is colourful. Just a tip - use a background and font colour that is easy to read. I look forward to seeing more posts on your blog.

  28. Hi Paihia School, I am Letisha from Tautoro School. I really enjoyed reading your slides about blog comments. I think that it is really important to know how and what to comment on. I really tautoko what you have said because people that aren't as kind use words that ain't even ment to be said. I think that you have now made everyone and everybody that doesn't know how to comment properly think first and then comment on what they really loved. To improve I think that you need a different type of colour for example if you had a red background and then you had orange writing all you have to do is change the colour of you writing or highlight the writing. But apart from that I really love this presentation yay!!
Your Sincerly, Letisha yr 7 Tautoro School. :)
